Having a portrait session with a professional photographer is a treasured experience. From the moment you contact me to set up your shoot, I am focused on what you are looking for, what you want in your session, and achieving those goals together with the final pictures from the session. We will talk about hobbies, your interest, things you all like to do together as a couple. I may ask if there are important locations that are significant to your relationship. All these little details help me create the artistic images for your shoot– just one way I want to really get to know and connect with you on a personal level. From the start there are many decisions we need to create together, where we will shoot, what you will wear, and when the shoot will happen! For the most part those are really easy and simple decisions with a little help from me.
The hardest decision I hope you have to make is deciding which image you want to get printed in your home! My goal for you is to have so many favorites it’s really hard to narrow down to one favorite! I want you to love and cherish as many images from the session as you possibly can! I am a very indecisive person, and sometimes it’s hard for me to choose, but with time and experience I can really help guide you in ways to achieve your ultimate wall collection in your home to cherish for many years to come!!
I wanted to share with you all a great example of why I say 5×7′s and 8×10′s should really be gifted prints [Prints that you love so much you want to share with family and friends in treasured gifts!]. I really strive to encourage you to go big if you have a blank wall in your house! My images are created to be showcases boldly in your homes, so you should let them! I always have a few images from my sessions that I call my ‘storytelling pieces’. These particular images are excellent for capturing the moment and really being able to create and tell a story.
I thought this example was helpful to show the differences in sizes of prints and canvas’ that I offer.
